Eagle Crest/ Tee'd Off Women's League
   1. We have been playing a 16 week season beginning the beginning the the last week in April going through August. Players do continue to play into the fall depending on the weather. We try to keep the cost low for the members and do so by keeping prizes to a minimum; the weekly contest is for a golf ball. At an end of the year outing the three cash prizes are awarded for the golfers receiving the most points during the season. Our yearly league fee is $20 plus the greens fee. As some of us enjoy walking, the options to take a cart is yours at an additional cost to the course.
   2. Each golfer plays against another golfer on a rotating basis for a handicapped point earned on each hole. A golfer may arrange a substitute to play for $10 in their place. The handicapped sub will earn points for their player for that round. If the player is unable to play or arrange a substitute the opposing player can only earn 5 points. We maintain a sub list for the convenience of the players.
   3. We alternate weekly between the front and back nine holes with the first tee off time being 5:30pm on Thursday evenings. Starting times rotate among the players. The level of play is intermediate experience. Our goal is to have a good time, so we generally all meet for a snack in the clubhouse after. The league manages the handicaps and are not GAM affiliated although many members record their scores with GAM.
   4. At the end of August we have a themed outing at Reddemann Farms, playing in teams for an enjoyable day of golf at an additional cost above the season fee. Prizes are awarded for the day and the year at this outing.

Hilltop/ Fairway Foxes
Our league is pretty low key. We are fairly small,  20 ladies. We keep track of handicaps each week. We have a banquet at the end of the season- no big prizes, just bragging rights of who came in first place. Substitute players pay $10 each week which goes into our mystery money fund that we hand out at the banquet. We just have a fun end of the season gathering. Debbie Grosh

Huron Valley Women's Golf Club (HVWGC)
   1.  Handicaps are required to play at HV except in the learning league and the Holmes league (Intermediate league) where you go to earn a handicap.  Then you can play on our other 8 leagues.
   2.  We try to get 24 ladies on each league but that has not happened in the past few years, due to attrition and the economy.
   3.  Sub policy: you have to be a member of HV to sub at any of our leagues and you pay a $10 sub fee.
   4. GAM index changes every 2 weeks.  We have a championship at the end of the season with first place individual and teams playing each other to see who is the champion of the entire league.
   5.  We have special events---usually a trip Up North, The Open, and Bring-a-friend.

Lake Forest/ Plan 'n Stay League
We play an 18-week season - start in early May and end 1 week after Labor Day.  We start play around 5:20 pm.  We are trying to get the course to provide "frequent buyer" incentives to the league, and to also give them discounts on pro shop stuff, and even on greens fees (but none of that is in place now).
There is not a handicap requirement for this league.  We do set a HC for every player, use the most recent 6 rounds to adjust the HC. There is an A and a B player on each team.  Scoring works as follows:  Team 1 A vs Team 2 A, and Team 1 B vs Team 2 B, then a collective Team 1 score vs Team 2 score, and that is how weekly points are awarded.
Ideally, we would like either 20 or 24 players in the the league.  We had 18 this year, and one team was always playing against a "ghost team".  It worked out ok, but I would prefer 4-somes.
We have and maintain a sub list and subs do not pay to play.  Their scores do "count", in that the team they are subbing for can earn points in the team vs team portion of the weekly points, but they cannot take points from the individual matches.
We come up with a contest each week that are fun and "random", meaning they are not always dependent on the skill of the player. We have some ladies that are very good, and some that have a 20+ handicap, so we try to keep this fun for all.  We let everyone know each week who won and award the prizes at the season-ending banquet.
We tried a couple of "fun" nights this year, and the ladies liked them.  The last round of play, on the night of the banquet, is always a fun night, too.     Barbara Olson

Pine View/ Monday Night Ladies
League sign up starts March 1st for 18 weeks starting mid to end of April to late August to early September . All skill level's including beginner's are welcome. We have opportunity to expand. Tee Times:  5:08 pm, 5:17 pm, 5:26 pm, 5:35 pm, and 5:44 pm. Pick up is 3 over par.   Angie Cook, League Chair   734-320-0488

Pine View/ Ford Motor Ladies Golf League
The league will be starting Wednesday, May 5th, 2010, at Pine View Golf Course in Ypsilanti on Stony Creek Road near Textile. Our first tee time will be around 4:00 p.m. This is a nine hole league which golfs 20 weeks.
Despite the name, there is no requirement to be a Ford employee or retiree. We do ask for golfers to have a maximum score of 75 for nine holes at Pine View or a comparable golf course. We usually have two flights if we have enough golfers sign-up. Handicaps are 85% and we limit the strokes given to 9 per 9-hole round. We maintain a sub list, but can also use a blind match with a designated golfer if no sub is available. Green fees and league fees are due at the start of the season.  Sharon Arnold, League Secretary 734-485-2618

Women's Suburban Golf Association (WSGA)

We play from late May - mid September, 8 AM courses from Taylor to Commerce, Redford, Brighton & in-between.  Our maximum handicap to join is 29.  We have three flights, tournaments & games through out the season, with points paid out at the end of the season.  We do not allow substitutes, we currently have 28 members, with openings for more.  Friendly, yet competitive golf.  $40.00 entry fee with application.
