The NEW line of Titleist 915 Metals proves that Titlest golf clubs are not just designed for the better player. The 915 metalwoods are all longer, straighter and more forgiving than their predecessors, making them a viable option for a wide range of handicaps. The 915 drivers have implementedtwo new technologies to aid in this quest. First was the advent of their ARC (active recoil channel) technology; ARC is a wide sole channel that allows the lower part of the face to compress, increasing ball speeds and lowering spin for maximum distance. Second is the addition of their Radial Speed Face; a high speed face insert with a thick center and radially thin perimeter in the heel and toe, delivering more distance on off-center hits. Their 915 fairway metals and hybrids also feature ARC technology along with new face materials (465 stainless steel in the fairways and 455 stainless in the hybrids) creating increased ball speeds across the entire face. This combination provides maximum forgiveness on miss-hits while still delivering efficient distance through high ball speeds and controlled spin rates. The entire Titleist 915 line still features the SureFit Tour hosel as seen in the 910 and 913 products which allows for precision fitting and fine tuning for all skill levels.
Drivers:
Titleist 915 drivers are still available in D3 and D2 models. The 915 D3 utilizes a 440cc head for flight control and a deeper face which creates lower spin rates and great workability. 915 D2 is a 460cc head and is internally weighted for better face closure at impact. The D2 is the most forgiving and slightly higher spinning for maximum control and playability. Both models have an extremely high MOI (moment of inertia) for more distance more often. This is achieved by reducing the thickness of the crown up front so the weight can be strategically placed in the back, allowing for a low and deep CG (center of gravity). The low CG and high MOI design provides generous ball speeds and substantial forgiveness. As always, Titleist strives to make the greatest looking and best feeling equipment on the market. With 915’s pear shaped profile, rich appearance and sound designed from the higher standard of acoustic engineering, I believe they hit the nail on the head and will be desired by players of all levels.
Titleist 915 D3 is available in7.5, 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5 degree heads in right handed. Left handed D3’s are available in 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5. The D2 offers lofts of 7.5, 8.5, 9.5, 10.5 and 12 degrees in right handed. Same lofts in left handed with the exception of 7.5 degree head.
The new Titleist 915 driver shafts are as good as ever and will give every player the best chance to be fit to correct shaft characteristics without the need for the upgrade to exotically priced shafts. Stock shafts are as follows:

Data samples were collected in our Cluboratory during our Titleist Staff fittings and these are the results and feedback received:
- Loft changes – how many have been required and why? Majority of the players stayed in same loft. When a change was made player went UP in loft (mostly D3 Players)
- SureFit setting changes – what % have altered and what % stayed as previously fit? Player feedback did not require changes in settings, all 915 product started in current players 913 settings
- Model – initial feedback on D2 & D3 difference in launch/spin. Clear Cut D2 vs D3 Player now (due to the difference in spin)
913 Driver Average (14 Player Sample): 152.7 Ball Speed, 11.2 Launch, 2864 Spin, 245.6 Carry
915 Driver Average (14 Player Sample): 155.6 Ball Speed, 11.6 Launch, 2410 Spin, 255.7 Carry
As seen above, the average distance gained from the 913 was 9 yards of carry due to higher ball speeds, higher launch and lower spin – a great recipe to fight gravity.
Fairways:
In the new 915 fairway line there are two separate heads (F) and (Fd) just like itspredecessors 910 & 913. 915F is long, straight, forgiving and delivers optimal performance from the tee and turf. The head is slightly larger than the 913F, which provides confidence, and a nice high ball flight in all situations. 915Fd differs from F with a smaller profile and slightly deeper face creating lower launch and spin. 915Fd is workable, forgiving and versatile from the turf and tee for the player looking to control ball flight. The new fairways are equipped with ARC technology and a new ultra-thin 465 stainless face insert. This insert delivers high balls speeds and maximum forgiveness across the face. The F and Fdprovide high MOI just like the drivers, leading to more distance and forgiveness on miss-hits.915F is available in 13.5, 15, 16.5 and 21 degree loftsin both in LH & RH. Fd lofts are available in 13.5 and 15 degree heads, both in LH & RH(no word on 5 wood loft at the moment in Fd). Stock shaft options are as follows:
STOCK | MODEL | FLEXES | WEIGHT | TORQUE | LAUNCH |
Aldila Rogue Black 80 | F/Fd | Stiff | 85.5 | 2.8 | Mid |
Dimana D+ White 80 | F/Fd | Stiff | 83 | 3.2 | Low |
Diamana S+ Blue 70 | F/Fd | Reg, Stiff | 69, 71 | 4.6, 4.0 | Mid |
Diamana Red M+ 60 | F | A-flex, Reg, Stiff | 54, 55, 58 | 6.4, 5.8, 5.0 | High |
Diamana Red M+ 50 | F | Ladies | 52 | 6.0 | High |

Data samples were collected in our Cluboratory during our Titleist Staff fittings and these are the results and feedback received:
- Model choice – how have players reacted to the F being the larger version and Fd more compact? Players all agreed with profile change, consistent with D3,Fd,Hd/D2,F,H
- What is the mix of 915 F &Fd among your fittings? 10 F, 4 Fd
- Initial data on F/Fd difference in launch/spin? 1.4 degree higher launch and 500rpm less spin
- SureFit setting changes – what % have altered and what % stayed as previously fit? Same as 913
913 Fairway Average (14 Player Sample): 144.8 Ball Speed, 8.1 Launch, 3793 Spin, 219 Carry
915 Fairway Average (14 Player Sample): 148.5 Ball Speed, 9.5 Launch, 3235 Spin, 234.6 Carry
These results made it apparent that Titleist wanted to compete in the distance game with their NEW 915 fairways. On average, in 915 vs. 913 we saw an increase of 3.7 mph of speed, 1.4 degrees of launch and 560 rpm of spin. These are massive improvements and will compete will any fairway metal on the market, not to mention the 915’s are 15.6 yards longer than their predecessors.
Hybrids:
Very similar to the 915 fairways, the NEW 915 Hybrids come in to different models – 915H & 915Hd. Very long, straight and forgiving, the 915H will help improve your approach game. Its profile is rounded, providing confidence at address. This feature paired with maximum forgiveness(due to the active recoil channel and new ultra-thin 455 stainless steel face) makes the 915 line of hybrids the choice for a wide range of skill levels. The 915Hd is smaller and slightly offset to deliver distance with shot control through a nice flat trajectory and has less spin comparative the “H”.The 915H is available in 18, 21, 24, & 27 degree lofts. The 915Hd is available in 17.5, 20.5 & 23.5 degrees. Stock shaft options are as follows:
STOCK | MODEL | FLEXES | WEIGHT | TORQUE | LAUNCH |
Aldila Rogue Black 85H | H/Hd | Stiff | 88 | 2.8 | Mid |
Dimana D+ White 90 HYB | H/Hd | Stiff | 91 | 2.7 | Low |
Diamana S+ Blue 70 HYB | H/Hd | Reg, Stiff | 70, 72 | 3.8, 3.8 | Mid |
Diamana Red M+ 60 HYB | H/Hd | A-flex, Reg, Stiff | 57, 59, 61 | 4.4, 4.2, 4.0 | High |
Diamana Red M+ 50 HYB | H/Hd | Ladies | 53 | 4.4 | High |
