This sounds great but it must be expensive.

Club-makers charge us the same for custom clubs or stock clubs. Therefore, the price of our custom clubs should be the same as any national retailer would charge for off-the-shelf sets. For a Basixx Fitting, the fitting fees are fully refundable with a purchase. For a Maxx Fitting the fees are partially refundable with a purchase.

Are appointments necessary to get fit?

It’s best to make an appointment so you will not have to wait for a fitting, but we gladly take walk-ins with the understanding that there may be wait time. Simply call Miles of Golf Ann Arbor at (877) 973-9005 or Miles of Golf Cincinnati at (513) 870-9057 to schedule a fitting.

What if I’m an average player?

Actually, better golfers probably can adapt to ill-fitting clubs better than average golfers. Golf becomes easier for everyone with clubs adapted to you instead of you adapting to your clubs.

Who customizes my clubs?

The simple answer is both the club maker and Miles of Golf may customize your clubs. It is important to note that when we say club maker we mean companies like Titleist, TaylorMade, Callaway, etc. One typical scenario is that Miles of Golf sends the club maker your specs and the clubs are built and shipped back to either Miles of Golf or the customer directly. A second scenario is that Miles of Golf has your clubs in stock with minor modifications required or it is a club with adjustability built into the design of the club. In these cases, Miles does the modification and/or adjustments in house.

I’m impatient, how long does it take to get my clubs?

Delivery time varies with club-makers and the time of the year. Due to the pandemic, we tell players to expect the clubs in 8-12 weeks. The benefits of getting quality clubs made specifically for you can be extremely significant to how well they perform. Simply put, it’s well worth the wait.

I have certain distances that my current clubs fail me. Can a club fitting help with that?

Part of fitting is selecting which clubs should be in your bag. Stock iron sets come in a standard configuration that may not fit your game. If this is the case, you are paying with clubs you should not be using. When ordering custom clubs, our club fitters help you determine which clubs you should be carrying. This can sometimes make custom club sets less expensive than off- the- shelf set.
